Patio Installation in Lethbridge

Proper Excavation and Grading

Every patio installation begins with removing a minimum of 8″ of raw soil, with proper grading and drainage carefully considered from the start — the foundation that determines how well your patio performs for years to come.

A Rock Base, Not Sand

Our paver base consists of 4-6″ of drain rock, followed by 2″ of 6MM fractured pea gravel for a level screed base. We no longer use traditional “beach sand” bases — a full rock base provides better compaction and drainage, and greatly reduces the shifting that comes from sand loss over time.

Polymeric Sand and Sealants

Once pavers are set, polymeric sand is used in the joints, hardening to a rock-like finish that resists weeds and shifting. A protective sealant is then applied to guard the final finish against staining and wear.

Patio installation is priced at $40 per sq. ft., reflecting the full process — excavation, proper base construction, paver installation, jointing, and sealing.
