July 2024

It may be closing in on July, but we’ve been so busy we’re still calling it “Spring Rush”! It’s become clear that demand for our Services continues to grow within our area, and we have had to turn away work this year either because it didn’t align with our objectives or because we could not book the work in soon enough. The rain still disrupts our schedules, but we have been “caught up” for a couple weeks now and still putting in long days to stay that way.

This “halfway” point of summer marks a good chance for you to check over your property and make sure you’ve taken care of all that is needed this summer, or start working towards it. The hotter sunny days have already cause some dryness within lawns, so we’re definitely advising you to water ATLEAST once or twice a week at this point, just depending on how much rain we get. We see lots of hurting shrubs and trees finally starting to revive themselves, so some extra moisture/support might be needed to keep them healthy for the rest of the summer.

We’ve been working on completing eavestrough cleanings, and will be completing Window Cleanings before Canada Day weekend.

Soil Enhancements(if applicable) and the next round of Fertilizations will take place in early July.

Weeds have been constant battle already, the rains made it tough to complete treatments but the weeds gained from the rains as well. We have also been removing weeds and replacing with fresh grass seed/soil mixture, but some of the new seed we’ve laid has been having difficulty on properties that have not started watering their lawns yet. Water is needed for a healthy, weed free lawn! Grass Seed prices skyrocketed this spring, so we are hesitant to use it in places that it may not take.
