February 2026 Winter Maintenance Invoice
Hope you’re enjoying 2026 so far!
Well the weather has been so nice it’s been hard NOT to think about Spring and Summer work. We know the snow will come back and often January-February can be our coldest, snowiest months! We’ve kept busy and did do some minor cleaning/check-up rounds while the weather has been nice, but a discount has been applied to February 2026 in consideration of the decent weather these last few weeks. The weather can and likely will change right away, so if you have specific requests or needs please do let us know!
Considering these next couple months can tend to be snowy and some of the coldest temperatures of the year, it’s another time for a quick reminder to check on drainage systems outdoors, and furnace filters indoors. Also be sure to look into seals on doors and windows, and prevent air drafts that can cost you extra money keeping indoors warm when the outdoors are frozen!
One condition we have been dealing with is the thaw-frost cycles, especially after the intense snowfalls and winds we had in early December. Certain areas especially rooflines more prone to shady conditions, suffer ice damming which causes water run-off and ice in dangerous locations. Once this happens, it can be very hard to fix in the midst of freezing conditions without greater risk to roofing and eavestroughing, but Heat Tape has been a much more common solution over the years. Heat Tape works sort of like a warming extension cord that can be plugged in and prevent ice from forming in undesirable locations. Ice problems can be hard to deal with in the midst of freezing conditions, which makes now a great time to stay ahead of the problem. If you think you can benefit from Heat Tape at your home, please don’t be afraid you reach out! It is about the time we start looking ahead to Spring and filling the schedules. We’ve made some notes about things to be addressed at certain properties in the coming season, and will be sending out Summer rate Estimates in February. Although our winters have looked a little different these last few years, we’re adjusting and making solid plans to hit the ground running early in the season. It helps that we’ve had a head start already in January! We’re updating and increasing training programs so that we ca be at our best and constantly improving in 2026. We’ve gone through some growth pains in the last couple years, and we aim to ensure we stay ahead from now on by having accountability, quality, rewards and satisfaction systems all in place.
Maintenance spots are filling quickly and we are considering capacity options again this year.
